Success at: Kick off 2018 with New Connections
The Arab American Business Council (AABC) held its first event of 2018 with a “Kick off 2018 with new connections” event on the 18th of January. Over twenty business owners and individuals attended the event at Levant Restaurant in Vienna, Virginia.
Attendees gathered by the door greeting each other and connecting with one another. Many exchanged business cards and phone numbers while food was being setup at the long buffet style booth. A wide range of Middle Eastern food was served from Taboli, Hummus, Kababs and Grape Leaves.
The event started officially with a welcome statement by Marwan Ahmad, AABC president, followed by an update on AABC and its upcoming 2018 services to members including online business directory, seminars, trainings, annual events and more business referrals between members. All attendees had the chance to introduce themselves and the purpose of their participation at the event. Many were new faces to the AABC group.
A session about running a successful social media campaign was presented by Ammar Tahhan, Public Relations Committee Chair. The session was engaging were everyone had the chance to share their experience with social media.
Another session was offered to answer questions by new members and guest about AABC and how it can help their businesses. At the end number of new guest join AABC as new members to take advantage of the benefits offered by AABC.
A group photo was taken after few attempts to rearrange chairs in the crowded room at Levant. Everyone spent more time before leaving to meet as many people as they could and exchange contact information.
